The Pyrénées is a touristic region where there are a lot of restaurants and hotels - they look like normal "chalets en bois" (wooden log houses) and they usually have a chimney.

I n summer, hiking enables us to see some remote areas of the Pyrenees. The “cirque de Gavarni”, for example;  The "Pic du midi” is unforgetable too. Hiking under the sun is good. We can see animals too, and we can climb very high, it is a wonderful sensation!

And we can do other things too: Canyoning is much fun. We walk in rivers, we jump in the water, we swim, we go sliding, and the landscape is great. Caving is funny too, we must walk, crawl, jump in huge caves…
If you like the height, you can climb or do it via ferrata.

The “isards” like the altitude and steep slopes, they live in herds of up to 100. They eat grass, lichens and buds. It could be saved through the creation of a national park in the Pyrenees.
